Welcome! I'm Doug Brunton, a professional computer programmer, technology entrepreneur and executive. I enjoy solving hard programming and user experience problems, building businesses, and learning new things.

I'm currently working with an incredible group of people at Frameable, Inc. on Overlook Maps (https://overlookmaps.com/map), a delightful map based social network and GPS navigation app. Overlook helps you discover, organize, visit, memorialize and share places you have visited or want to visit. You can build a trusted network of other inspiring humans who value shared experiences, too.

Working on maps is a unique intersection of history, evolution, computer science, design and exploration. Maps are inspiring to look at and interact with. They are rich, dense, beautiful representations of how we perceive the world around us, and help us shape those very perceptions.

My family inspires me. My lady, our boy and doggos are beyond. We love to explore this beautiful land, and go on adventures. I enjoy volunteering my time as a coach (the little league and flag football variety) and participating in my community.

I love networking and meeting new people. When it can be helpful, I love to share my experience and knowledge, and I always love learning new things from other people. I'm usually tinkering on something. Some things, like playing music, stay in the tinkering rotation. Some things, like wrenching on my truck, I'm opportunistic about. Geology, poetry, astronomy, optics, photography, music, and programming language design and implementation are on shuffle in tinker land.

Poke around, and please say hello if you like! I'm doug at dougbrunton.com.
